Frequently Asked Questions:

1. What is the CORRECTA Group?

The CORRECTA Group brings together companies specialized in consulting, insurance, benefits, safety engineering, risk management, and training. Our purpose is to help families and businesses become more protected, prepared, and resilient in facing risk in the right, intelligent way.

2. How long has the CORRECTA Group been in business?

CORRECTA was founded on February 3, 1993, by two professors — one from the financial market and the other from the auditing and consulting field. The company was created to offer qualified service, transparency, and recommendations genuinely aligned with clients’ interests.

3. Who can hire the CORRECTA Group’s services?

We serve individuals, families, small and medium-sized businesses, and even large corporations. Each request is directed to the team focused on that specific audience, with the experience and specialization best suited to the type of risk or need involved.

4. Does the CORRECTA Group serve all of Brazil?

Yes. We serve clients in every region of the country. Simpler requests can be handled by phone and digital channels, while more complex companies and projects may involve meetings, technical visits, inspections, and on-site follow-up.

5. What are the CORRECTA Group’s divisions?

The Group is made up of CORRECTA AUTO (Personal Lines Insurance Broker), CORRECTA BENEFÍCIOS (Employee Benefits Consulting and brokerage firm), CORRECTA CORRETORA DE SEGUROS (corporate insurance broker), CORRECTA CONSULTORIA DE GERENCIAMENTO DE RISCOS (Risk Management and Occupational Health and Safety Consulting firm), and CORRECTA TREINAMENTOS. Each division has its own specialized team and operates separately from the others.

6. Do I need to hire more than one division?

No. Each company or service can be hired independently. The client chooses exactly what they need, with no obligation to hire other solutions and no unnecessary services offered.

7. How do the divisions work together?

When a need must be handled by another division, we connect the client to the specialized team. Each team remains responsible for its own area, preserving the specialization, confidentiality, and technical independence required in each engagement.

8. Why does the CORRECTA Group combine insurance brokerage with risk management consulting?

Mainly for two reasons: insurance is essentially the transfer of risk to an insurer, and transfer is one of the main ways of treating risk within the risk management process. The insurance market, by the very nature of its business, is also one of the leading buyers of risk management services. Consulting identifies, analyzes, and helps mitigate risk; brokerage seeks to transfer to the insurance market the residual portion that needs to be covered by an insurance contract. The two are complementary, and together they bring excellence to how each activity is carried out.

9. Are the consulting and insurance brokerage teams separate?

Yes. The work is carried out by different teams, each with its own responsibilities, professionals, and scope. This goes well beyond what is known as a "Chinese wall" — it isn’t just a barrier protecting the independence of our analysis and preventing commercial interests from influencing the consulting team’s technical conclusions. Here, we have complete separation into different companies.

10. How does the CORRECTA Group avoid conflicts of interest?

When a consulting project includes auditing, analyzing, or critiquing a particular insurance policy as part of its tasks and objectives, CORRECTA does not take part in selling or replacing that policy. In these cases, we do not bridge the work to our brokerage side, preserving the impartiality of the work and the client’s best interests.

11. Why was the consulting division created?

Over the years, we encountered poorly insured companies, with frequent claims, insufficient controls, or even difficulty being accepted by insurers. Few companies can say exactly why they chose particular coverage amounts to structure their insurance policy rather than other amounts. Nor can they always explain which coverages they actually need, or even what the coverages listed in their policies mean. We realized that simply buying insurance did not solve every problem, and that the market needed technical support to identify, reduce, and treat risks before transferring them.

12. Is the CORRECTA Group an insurer or a health plan operator?

No. We are an independent insurance brokerage and also an independent consulting firm. We do not belong to insurers or health plan operators, we have no ties to occupational health clinics, and we have no ties to fire protection equipment manufacturers. In short, we have no bond or closeness with suppliers of any kind. On top of that, we do not maintain exclusivity arrangements with any company we recommend to clients. Brokerage activities are carried out by companies and professionals duly registered with SUSEP (Brazil’s insurance regulator), and our consulting teams also include professionals registered with their respective professional bodies (CREA, CRM, OAB, etc.). Together, all of this gives us the independence, impartiality, and solidity to offer our clients the best possible answer and solution.

13. What is the difference between insurance and risk management?

Insurance transfers certain risks to an insurer. Risk management is broader: it involves identifying, analyzing, and treating risk through prevention, internal controls, processes and procedures, protection systems, emergency plans, business continuity plans, training, and other solutions.

14. How are insurers and health plan operators chosen?

We work with every insurer and operator in the market and choose, for each risk, the solution that best serves the client. A single client may hold contracts with different insurers or operators, depending on which offers the best solution for each of their needs.

15. Are the solutions customized?

Yes. Each client receives an individual analysis that considers their profile, needs, risks, and the particulars of their request. We do not simply offer standardized products without assessing whether they are actually suitable.

16. What are the CORRECTA Group’s main differentiators?

Our main differentiator is putting the client first. We combine independence, transparency, hands-on experience, and strong technical capability to thoroughly analyze contracts, coverages, standards, risks, and alternatives before making any recommendation.

17. How does support work in the event of claims, accidents, or crises?

Our service does not end once a contract is signed. When a claim, accident, or significant difficulty arises, our team — including the partners themselves — follows the process closely and as a priority. We can also be hired to manage crises for companies that were not previously our clients.

18. Does the CORRECTA Group guarantee results?

It would not be accurate to guarantee results that depend on contracts, documents, specific circumstances, or third-party decisions. Our commitment is to provide rigorous analysis, transparent guidance, and qualified follow-up, backed by experience accumulated since 1993 and a very strong track record of success.
